Imagine being saved by something God Himself commanded.
Now imagine that same object being destroyed centuries later⌠by a godly king.
In the wilderness, God told Moses to raise a bronze serpent on a pole. Those who looked upon it were healed and lived.
A miracle.
A symbol of deliverance.

Jephthah goes into battle desperate for victory.
And in that pressure⌠he makes a vow:
âIf You give me victory, whatever comes out of my house to meet me, I will give to the Lord.â

It feels like a debt he didnât understand he was signing.
So hereâs the question that makes this story uncomfortable:
How do you celebrate a breakthrough⌠when the price of it is something you never intended to lose?
No, this isnât from a horror movie.
Itâs in the Bible.
A group of men were burying a corpse when something forced them to abandon the funeral. In a panic, they threw the body into a nearby tomb.
Seconds later, the dead man was alive again.
What was inside that tomb?
And why were the bones of a prophet still causing miracles after his death?

Would you believe this story if it wasnât in the Bible?
Itâs one of those details many people read over without a second thought.
As I studied the crucifixion accounts, I found something fascinating.
Before the crucifixion, Jesus was offered a drink mixed with myrrh:
đ âThen they gave Him wine mingled with myrrh to drink, but He did not take it.â (Mark 15:23)
He refused it.
Yet near the end, after saying, âI thirst,â He accepted sour wine (often translated as vinegar).
Why?
Was it simply because He was thirsty?
Was He fulfilling an ancient prophecy written centuries earlier?
Or is there a deeper mystery hidden in this final act before He declared, âIt is finishedâ?
The more I examine the details surrounding the crucifixion, the more questions emerge.
Why reject the drink that could ease pain, yet accept vinegar moments before death?
Sometimes the smallest details in Scripture conceal the greatest mysteries.

A king was desperate.
God wasnât answering.
The prophets were silent.

And if she was so important, why do so few people know about her today?
