WERE THEY REAL?
OR JUST ANCIENT LEGENDS?
When Moses sent spies into the Promised Land, most of them returned with a frightening report.
They said:
“We saw the Anakim there…”
Then they added something even more shocking:
“We seemed like grasshoppers in our own eyes, and we looked the same to them.”

Who were these Anakim?
Why were seasoned men of war so terrified of them?
Were they simply very tall people?
A race of giants?
Or has their story been exaggerated over time?
The Bible later mentions giants again—including Goliath, the famous warrior of Gath.
Could there be a connection?
For centuries, scholars, theologians, and readers have debated the mystery of the Anakim.
