  • 👼 Can Angels Marry Humans?

This is one of the Bible’s oldest and most controversial questions.

    Genesis 6 says:

“The sons of God saw that the daughters of men were beautiful, and they took wives for themselves…”

But who were the “sons of God”?

Were they fallen angels who married human women?

Were they the godly descendants of Seth marrying the descendants of Cain?

Or does the passage point to something else entirely?

Jesus later said that angels “neither marry nor are given in marriage.” Yet many readers argue that Genesis 6 seems to describe something very different.

So how should these passages be understood together?

For thousands of years, Jewish and Christian interpreters have debated this mystery, and there is still no universal agreement.

If you had to defend one interpretation using Scripture alone, which view would you take—and why?

Please keep the discussion respectful. Thoughtful answers from every perspective are welcome.

  • Does Heaven Really Suffer Violence?

    Most Christians will answer, “No.”

    But then…

Why did Jesus say it does?

One of the most shocking statements Jesus ever made is found in Matthew 11:12:

“From the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force.”

    Read that again.

Jesus didn’t say the earth suffers violence.

He didn’t say His followers suffer violence.

He said the kingdom of heaven suffers violence.

    That raises some uncomfortable questions.

If heaven is God’s perfect dwelling place, who is committing violence there?

If the violence is only happening on earth, why did Jesus specifically say “the kingdom of heaven”instead of simply referring to His disciples?

Was He talking about heaven itself?

Or was He referring to God’s kingdom breaking into our world?

Could this verse be pointing to a conflict that most Christians have never noticed?

Perhaps we’ve quoted this verse for years… without ever asking what Jesus actually meant.

    What’s your understanding?

(Please keep the discussion respectful. The purpose is to examine Scripture together.)

  • The Prince of Persia vs. Michael — Who Were They Really Fighting?

    Daniel prayed.

    God answered immediately.

Yet the angel sent with the answer said something astonishing:

He had been delayed for 21 days because he was resisted by the Prince of Persia, until Michaelcame to help.

    Think about that.

Who was the Prince of Persia?

    A human king?

    A fallen angel?

    A territorial spiritual ruler?

And if God’s messenger could be delayed…

What does that reveal about the unseen world?

Daniel 10 may be one of the Bible’s greatest windows into the invisible battle taking place behind human history.

    So…

Who exactly was the Prince of Persia, and why did it take Michael to overcome him?

  • Who Started the War in Heaven?

The Bible makes an astonishing statement:

    “There was war in heaven.”

    Not on earth.

    In heaven.

Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon fought back.

But that raises questions many people have never considered.

    Who started the war?

How could war break out in heaven at all?

    When did it happen?

Was it before Adam and Eve?

    During Christ’s ministry?

Or is Revelation describing something symbolic rather than literal?

If heaven is the place where God’s will is perfectly done, why does Scripture describe conflict there?

    One verse.

    One war.

    A lifetime of questions.

What do you believe really happened?

  • Why Would an Entire Community Protect a Python… While Another Eats It?

Imagine walking into a village where a giant python slithers across the road…

    No one screams.

No one reaches for a stick.

Instead, elders calmly guide it back into the bush with respect.

To an outsider, it seems unbelievable.

But in parts of Igbo land—including Awomama, Njaba, and Okwudor—this has been a deeply respected tradition for generations. The python is not viewed as just another animal. Traditionally, it is protected, and deliberately killing one was regarded as a serious taboo that often required customary rites of atonement.

Now travel to another Igbo community…

The very same python may end up in a cooking pot.

    The same animal.

    The same culture.

    Completely different beliefs.

How did neighboring communities develop such different traditions?

    Was there a historical event?

    A covenant?

    A spiritual experience?

Or a story that has gradually faded as elders passed away?

These are the questions that fascinate me.

Every Igbo tradition has a history.

Sadly, many of those histories are disappearing because they were preserved by word of mouth rather than in books.

If we don’t ask questions now, future generations may never know why our ancestors lived the way they did.

Does your community have an animal, food, tree, river, or tradition that is considered sacred or forbidden?

What story were you told about it?

Let’s preserve our history before it disappears.

  • The Bermuda Triangle… Could the Bible Have Been Silent About It?

The Bible never claimed to record every mountain, every river, every island, or every mystery on earth.

Yet thousands of years later, there are still places that continue to provoke questions.

One of them is the Bermuda Triangle.

Whether you believe every story surrounding it or not, one fact remains:

It has captured the imagination of scientists, historians, sailors, pilots, and ordinary people for generations.

    That raises a question.

If the Bible records only what God intended humanity to know for His purpose…

Could there be places and mysteries that exist in God’s creation but were never meant to be explained in Scripture?

Or could some of today’s greatest mysteries have ancient histories that humanity has simply forgotten?

The Bible is a book of revelation.

It is not a complete encyclopedia of everything that has ever existed.

    So here’s my question:

If the Bible is silent about the Bermuda Triangle, does that mean it has no biblical significance… or simply that God chose not to reveal it?

I’m not claiming the Bermuda Triangle is mentioned in the Bible.

I’m asking whether every mystery on earth must appear in Scripture before it deserves our attention.

    What are your thoughts?

  • The Fire That Never Goes Out… A Mystery Worth Thinking About

Have you ever heard of the “Door to Hell”—a place where flames have burned continuously for decades?

Whether you see it as a natural wonder or a geological phenomenon, the sight is astonishing.

Then my mind wandered to the Bible.

A bush burned but was not consumed.

A pillar of fire led an entire nation through the wilderness.

Fire descended from heaven onto Elijah’s sacrifice.

The tongues of fire appeared on the day of Pentecost.

Throughout Scripture, fire is more than heat. It is often a sign of God’s presence, power, judgment, or purification.

So here’s the question that keeps echoing in my mind:

Why does God so often use fire as one of His greatest symbols?

Is it because fire transforms everything it touches?

Because it gives light in darkness?

    Because it purifies?

Or is there a deeper mystery hidden in the language of fire that we have not yet fully understood?

Perhaps the greatest mystery is not the fire that burns on the earth…

Perhaps it is why the Bible keeps bringing us back to fire whenever heaven touches humanity.

    What do you think?

  • Three Questions the Bible Never Directly Answers About Adam and Eve

I’ve read the story of Adam and Eve many times, yet three questions continue to echo in my mind.

    1. When God drove Adam and Eve out of Eden, where exactly did they go?

The Bible says they were driven out of the Garden of Eden, but it never names the place where they settled afterward.

    2. How long after leaving Eden did Eve conceive Cain?

Was it days? Months? Years? Scripture simply moves to the next event without giving a timeline.

    3. Who delivered Cain?

Adam and Eve were the only humans mentioned at the time. When Eve went into labor, who helped her? Did Adam assist? Did she deliver on her own? Did God intervene in a way the Bible chose not to describe? The Scriptures are silent.

These are not arguments against the Bible. They are reminders that not every detail was recorded. Sometimes the silence of Scripture is just as intriguing as what it reveals.

What are your thoughts? How would you answer these three questions using Scripture—not assumptions?

    Let’s discuss respectfully.

  • One Passage in the Bible Has Left Me Thinking…

The disciples once saw a man casting out demons in the name of Jesus.

They tried to stop him because he wasn’t one of them.

    But Jesus replied:

“Do not stop him… Whoever is not against us is for us.”

    Now fast-forward to today.

Everywhere we look, there are ministries.

    Miracle crusades.

    Healing services.

    Deliverance programs.

Many claim to heal in the name of Jesus.

Many claim to cast out demons in the name of Jesus.

Yet many of these same ministries criticize one another.

    Each claims to be genuine.

    So here is my question.

How can ordinary Christians discern who is truly acting in the name of Jesus?

    Is it by miracles?

By the size of the crowd?

By the title of the preacher?

    By the denomination?

Or by faithfulness to Christ and the fruit of their lives?

Another thought keeps coming to my mind.

If God still grants the gift of miraculous healing today, why do we rarely see miracle ministries ministering in hospitals, where countless people are lying sick and helpless?

Is healing in hospitals also part of their calling?

Or is there something about the gift of healing that many of us have misunderstood?

This is not an attack on any ministry or denomination.

It is simply an invitation to search the Scriptures carefully and ask honest questions.

    What do you think?

  • The Four Rivers of Eden: Two We Know… Two We Don’t.

One of the greatest mysteries in the Bible isn’t hidden in Revelation.

    It’s hidden in Genesis.

The Garden of Eden is described as being watered by one river that divided into four:

    • Pishon

    • Gihon

    • Tigris

    • Euphrates

    Here’s what caught my attention.

The Tigris and Euphrates are well-known rivers. They have been recognized for thousands of years.

But what happened to Pishon and Gihon?

    Where are they?

    Did they disappear?

    Did they change their names?

Did the landscape of the world change so dramatically that they can no longer be identified?

Or is there something about Eden that we still do not fully understand?

    The Bible never explains.

Perhaps the greater question is this:

If Genesis gives us two rivers we can recognize and two that remain a mystery, was it inviting us to realize that not every detail of humanity’s beginning would be fully revealed?

Sometimes, the silence of Scripture is as fascinating as its words.

What do you think happened to Pishon and Gihon?
