🤔 Why did God bless Jacob after he deceived his father?

This has always puzzled me.

Jacob disguised himself as Esau, lied to his blind father Isaac, and received the blessing that was meant for his brother.

Yet instead of losing God’s favor, Jacob went on to become Israel—the father of the twelve tribes. God even reaffirmed His covenant with him.

So here’s my question:

If deception is a sin, why did Jacob still receive such extraordinary blessings?

Did God approve of what Jacob did?

Was the blessing valid simply because Isaac had spoken it?

Or was God fulfilling His plan despite Jacob’s wrongdoing?

The Bible doesn’t hide the failures of its heroes, and this story raises questions that deserve honest discussion.

What’s your interpretation of this passage?

Please keep the discussion respectful. Thoughtful answers from every perspective are welcome.
