⏳ What Did Jesus Mean When He Said, “This Generation Will Not Pass Away”?

One statement of Jesus has puzzled Bible readers for centuries.

After describing future events, He declared:

“Truly I tell you, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened.” (Matthew 24:34)

But what did He mean by “this generation”?

Was He referring to the people who were alive as He spoke?

Did He mean the generation that would witness the signs of the end?

Was He speaking about the destruction of Jerusalem in AD 70?
