📜 Who Wrote About Moses’ Own Death?

One question has always intrigued me…

The Bible records the death and burial of Moses in Deuteronomy 34.

But if Moses wrote the first five books of the Bible…

Who wrote the chapter describing his own death?

Was it Joshua, his successor?

Did another inspired writer add the final chapter later?

Or did Moses write it prophetically before he died?

The Bible doesn’t explicitly identify the author of Deuteronomy 34, and that has led to centuries of discussion among scholars and believers alike.

Which explanation do you find most convincing—and what biblical evidence supports it?

Please keep the discussion respectful. Thoughtful answers from every perspective are welcome.
