🏛️ Who Is Babylon the Great?

Few symbols in the Book of Revelation have sparked more debate than Babylon the Great.

John describes her as a wealthy, powerful woman riding a scarlet beast, influencing kings and nations, and eventually facing God’s judgment.

But who—or what—is she?

Was Babylon the Great the ancient city of Babylon?

Was she a code name for Rome?

Does she represent a future world system?

Or is she a symbol of human rebellion, corruption, and spiritual unfaithfulness throughout history?
