We are told that Satan rebelled against God and was cast out of heaven.
Yet after his expulsion, he still appears before God in the Book of Job. He still tempts. He still deceives. He still accuses. He still possesses enough power to challenge humanity.
If that is true, then what exactly did he lose?
More importantly…
If God permits a supernatural being—one far more powerful than any human—to test us, why are we judged when we fall?
Imagine placing a child in a wrestling ring with a heavyweight champion and then blaming the child for losing.
Before anyone says, “We have free will,” remember this:
Lucifer also had free will.
He lived in God’s presence.
He saw God’s glory firsthand.
Yet he still chose rebellion.
If an anointed cherub in heaven could fall, what chance did Adam and Eve truly have?
Does justice require equal strength between the tempter and the tempted?
Or is there something about God’s judgment that we have not fully understood?
I am not questioning God’s righteousness.
I am questioning whether we have asked enough questions about it.
