The Bible gives two accounts of the same event—but with different answers.
2 Samuel 24:1 says:
“The LORD… incited David against Israel, saying, ‘Go and take a census of Israel and Judah.’”
But 1 Chronicles 21:1 says:
“Satan stood up against Israel and incited David to take a census of Israel.”
So who actually incited David?
Was it God… or Satan?
Can both accounts be true at the same time, or is there something deeper the writers expected us to understand?
One event. Two verses. Two different explanations.
How do you reconcile them?
